This program offers a 6 week series of career resource workshops for autistic and neurodiverse individuals. The ideal participant should be a rising high-school senior (17 years) or older. They should either be currently enrolled in college and/or looking into applying for their first internships. Each participant must commit to attending 4, 2-hour workshops on alternating weeks throughout the program (in addition to working independently on projects outside of class).
At the end of the program, students will:

Be able to self-advocate in professional and personal settings.

Have chosen a career path that includes their interests.

Identified degree programs and professional internship programs that match with their short- and long-term career goals.

Walk away with professional Mission Statements, Resumes, Portfolios, Professional Websites and Social Media pages.

The workshop will be taught by Kate Trammell, one of Actionplay’s teaching artists and creator of the AIMS Mentor program. In addition to her 7+ years as an administrator and educator, she has taught career skills workshops in Texas and New York. She has been featured on the “WellAttended” podcast, Teaching Artist Journal, and On The Spectrum.
