Averil Carr

Averil Carr (she/her) is honored to be a part of the ActionPlay team! Averil is a theatre maker and teaching artist specifically interested in creating accessible and dynamic arts programs for all populations. She works with NYC DOE’s Office of Arts and Special Projects on numerous programs including the All-In(clusive) Teen Theatre Ensemble and the Shubert High School Theater Festival.  Her other teaching residencies include work with Epic Players and Broadway Bound Kids. In addition, Averil works with closely with NYU’s Verbatim Performance Lab, where she co-created a verbatim documentary theatre investigation into sexual violence at universities and institutions- We’re Not There Yet. She is a graduate of NYU’s Program in Educational Theatre. // averilcarr.com
